"As a young man I was terribly frustrated with the challenge to share the Gospel and win souls for Christ. I had a great Pastor who was a good preacher with a clear evangelistic gifting who went on to plant churches in the Caribbean, Zambia, Kenya and America. Whenever he preached, no matter what he preached about, he seemed to end his sermon on the subject of soul winning. Every Sunday I felt guilty about failing to share the gospel. I would go out on during the week and try but my witnessing always ended in disaster. The one thing my pastor never taught us was HOW to share the Gospel and lead people to Christ.

I spent three years in Bible school and graduated with a diploma in Theology but could not share the gospel with a stranger and lead them to Jesus. The teachers were excellent in Homiletics and hermeneutics and all kinds of 'ologies' but never taught us how to lead souls to Christ. I was a Pastor for seven years and an Itinerant Evangelist for another seven years. I preached congregations guilty about not sharing the Gospel or winning souls but like my former Pastor I never taught them HOW.

The Final Thrust Ministries deal with HOW. How to be a soul winner and a discipler of souls. How to start a conversation with any person and turn that conversation into a witnessing situation, leading that person to receive Eternal Life, and then, How to disciple that person into a meaning relationship with God and the local church. How to use your Personal testimony as a powerful witnessing tool. How to know your spiritual and motivational gifts and How to use them for the edifying and maturing of the Body of Christ. How to be empowered by God and your local church for ministry in the daily context of your life. How to be part of God's FINAL THRUST, bringing the Great Commission to a finish. Believers must never be able to stand before God and say: "I wanted to but I did not know HOW. My Pastor never taught me HOW". As a young man I wanted to share but did not know HOW. Many believers want to work the works of God but do not know HOW. Jesus taught His disciples HOW before telling them to go and do it. He did not only teach them but first He showed them HOW.

Many churches are failing today to recognize the importance of equipping their members. They need to know how to effectively share the gospel, lead people to Christ, disciple them and to do it in the daily context of their lives. Few Pastors take the time to go out with their members and show them how. Ministry is confined to the four walls of the meeting hall. If souls are to be saved and people healed, they must be brought to the meeting hall. We fail to grasp the concept that the meeting hall is for worship and training so that people can go out to do works of service or ministry.

The primary strategy of the Final Thrust will be the setting up of Transformation and Equipping Centers (TEC). A TEC is a new paradigm church, whose primary purpose will be to bring transformation to the lives of people through the blood of Jesus. Teaching them the Word of God and equipping them for ministry in daily life. It must be understood that our definition of ministry is, "Using one’s spiritual or motivational gifts to reconcile people to Christ and disciple them into the lifestyle of Heaven until they are reflecting the image and likeness of God our Father."

God wants you to be so equipped that you can function in ministry at home, school, work, and wherever you are on a daily basis to advance the Kingdom of God. Be prepared to lead people to Christ and help them grow so that they look and act like God's children. This is the aim of THE FINAL THRUST MINISTRIES AND THE TRANSFORMATION AND EQUIPPING CENTER.
