THE CHRISTMAS
SEASON It is here again! That time of
the year when we are specially reminded of God’s love for us and the
amazing hope of a brighter and better tomorrow, filled with His
peace that passes all understanding. I want to take this time to
wish you all of this and much more.
As I look back over the last four years I am
awestruck at how good and faithful God has been to my family and me.
At times when I failed to believe He abided faithful. I must say I
have not found anything at all to complain about. He has been much
better to me than I deserve. This does not mean that there were not
sad moments but God’s presence was always greater.
My oldest sister who helped raise me lived here
in Boston and we were able to have some wonderful home feeling times
with her for three years. She went to heaven in May of this year. It
was a very bittersweet time for us. We wanted to hold on to her
longer but the cancer had ravished her body and she could carry it
no longer. It was very painful letting go but yet it was a joy
watching her come out of her body and go away from the pain. I still
cry at times because I miss her especially at times like now.
Both Marion and Brandon are very well. Brandon is
doing well at college and graduates this coming spring. He really
loves the Lord and is a great asset to our ministry both on
Saturdays with The Final Thrust Church and on Sundays with Ministry
in Spotlight.
Marion’s time is spent looking after the two of
us and doing things pertaining to our new church plant and the
Making Disciples Workshops. The Lord has not yet opened the door for
her to work full time and I am really not in a hurry for that to
happen. I am learning to trust God’s timing in all things. Patrick
is still in Barbados but he is doing very well.
The Final Thrust Ministries is gaining momentum.
The Lord is beginning to send new people to The Final Thrust Church
and we are sensing that He is about to enlarge our coasts. We were
able to conduct three Making Disciples Workshops this year. These
workshops run for six weeks and we will be doing one each quarter.
This year we had forty-eight persons graduating from this course and
becoming Transformers and Equippers. Our goal is to raise up an army
of at least five thousand in the next ten years.
The Final Thrust radio broadcast is now heard on
two radio stations covering most of eastern Massachusetts. Each
Sunday we spotlight a different church in revival for our Ministry
in Spotlight program. This one-hour program is also heard three
times on Sundays on two different stations. The Lord is using this
as one of the tools to prepare the way of the Lord for the coming
revival.
The coming year is going to be a very challenging
one in many ways but it will be one in which believers will see
unusually great evidence of the reality of God both in their
personal lives and among the Nations. God is going to be greatly
glorified among people and in places where He has not been
appreciated. The war will not end and there might be much more
rumors of war. But right in the midst of all the turmoil and
distress in the Nations the Kingdom of God will make great advances.
A fresh wind of the Holy Spirit will begin to
blow through the church this coming year and it will be very
evident. There will be much teaching on and an awareness of the
Kingdom of God and its operation here on earth now. In spite of much
suffering and in some cases physical death the church of God is
going to show her strength. Stand firm and strong in your faith in
God at all cost. Be very sensitive to the voice of the Spirit and
don’t go by what you see with your natural eyes, as things that are
seen will deceive many.
Thanks for your love and continued prayer support
for me, my family and the ministry. We wish you a blessed Christmas
and the awareness of God’s favor on your life during 2006. Our
prayer for you is that this will be your greatest year in every area
of your life.
Sincerely yours,
Basil P. Yarde
